Guangdong Netcom Reported to Deploy WiMAX Network in Guangdong

According to Sina, Chinese Guangdong Netcom has started to establish WiMAX networks across the Guangdong province, China. The network, which is scheduled to deliver non-voice services only, will be available for enterprise subscribers. Meanwhile, the company has elected two WiMAX equipment providers, including Alcatel Shanghai Bell, to supply related devices in 14 cities in Guangdong.
